High-angle (vertical) belt-type conveyor designed for transportation of bulk materials along complex route with ascention angle up to 90˚.
Cargo carrying element is rubber-fabric belt with transverse bafflers, corrugated tube sideboards. Band width and height of bafflers are chosen depending on characteristics of cargo and route and also productive capacity of conveyor. Bafflers can be metal and without corrugated tubes to move light bulky cargo, i.e sanitary wastes, hay at angle of 45˚.
High-angle conveyor, by definition, is an improved combination of stationary belt-type conveyor and bucket elevator, minimizing disadvantages of transport system conveyor-elevator.
Main advantages of using high-angle conveyors (vertical, Z, L, C shaped):
- absence of necessity to use several transporting units (belt-type conveyors for horizontal travel + elevator for ligting);
- economy of production space;
- absence of overturning points and, accordingly, additional aspirating points;
- possibility to form complex routes (Z-shaped);
- construction reliability.
